Fabulous RARE never worn pair of vintage beige leather Mary Jane style shoes, with unique 2 tone reptile print in the Art Deco peek-a-boo side vamp, and side buckle closure, worthy of a shoe museum. Buckle is gold with tiny art deco designs. Leather soles. Though it looks strictly beige in photo, they are closer to a pale peach with taupe reptile trim.Perfect for a wedding shoe for this era! Also perfect for a Downton Abbey Costume or Great Gatsby affair.
In original box ( as found- some boxes don't correspond to shoe or size, but they are all walk-over boxes). Box has great graphics! In an impossible to find color in softest, supple leather. Stamped with "Walk Over" inside and outside on the sole. Truly a great shoe from the era.
This is part of a collection we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes. We will be listing them over the next few months.
